David Houle

Lead Engineer

David Houle joined Hempel Real Estate in 2026 as a Lead Engineer. He has more than 18 years of experience in facilities management, chief engineering, and building operations. His career spans high-profile properties and organizations including Daikin Applied Americas, Ridgeview Medical Center, and Allianz Field (home of Minnesota United FC), where he led mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building automation systems. A hands-on leader, David has managed teams of up to 100 people, developed budgets and preventive maintenance programs, and consistently delivered projects on time and within budget. He holds SMT and SMA credentials along with a Minnesota Class C Chief Engineer license, OSHA 30, and Arc Flash certification, and brings deep expertise in systems reliability, cost control, and operational excellence.
