Eric Skalland
Principal and COO
Eric Skalland brings over 17 years of commercial real estate finance expertise to Hempel Companies.. As Principal and Chief Operating Officer Eric leads all operational aspects of the firm, including capital markets, investor relations, finance and accounting, banking and strategic planning. Eric graduated from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and held a CPA license for 17 years.
Prior to joining the team in 2025, Eric served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Capital Markets at United Properties, where he oversaw all of United Properties capital market execution and was instrumental in leading the financial strategy of the company. Throughout his career, Eric has closed more than $2.3 billion in loans and secured over $400 million in institutional equity, demonstrating a consistent ability to structure complex transactions and drive growth.
