Development Accountant

Long Lam is a Development Accountant at Hempel Real Estate, where he supports the accounting and financial reporting for the firm's development pipeline, including project cost tracking, draw support, and month-end close.

Long brings six years of real estate accounting experience across commercial and residential portfolios. He joined Hempel from FirstService Residential, where he served as a Senior Accountant leading monthly financial statement preparation for more than 30 entities, overseeing fund transfers and reporting accuracy through management transitions, and training new members of the accounting team. Earlier in his career at CBRE, he prepared monthly financial packages and reviewed funding and payment requests for institutional clients.

He is proficient in Yardi, Jenark, and Excel, and is bilingual in English and Cantonese.

Long holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
