Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Duluth, Minnesota, Aspen Aerials is a specialized manufacturer of bridge inspection equipment, focused on helping engineers and technicians safely access hard-to-reach areas of bridges without causing major disruption to traffic. The company designs, manufactures, and assembles a complete line of bridge inspection trucks and cranes at its Duluth facility, with products shipped throughout North America, Europe, and beyond. In October 2018, Aspen Aerials was acquired by Time Manufacturing/Versalift and now operates as "Aspen Aerials, a Time Manufacturing Company," giving it access to a global distribution network alongside sister brands like Versalift, Ruthmann, and BrandFX. Aspen's signature innovation is a no-outrigger design that lets bridge inspection trucks deploy quickly and safely without stabilizing legs, eliminating the risk of damaging bridge decks, reducing lane closures, and allowing vehicles to move while the boom is extended. Its product line includes units with up to four independently operating booms managed from multiple control panels, and the company has more recently engineered CE-certified versions (like the A-62) for the European market. Customers are primarily government agencies, departments of transportation, municipalities, and contractors responsible for inspecting and maintaining public infrastructure, and Aspen also runs a Factory Rebuild Program to refurbish aging units back to current safety standards.
